Breakfast Egg Baskets

To start off the first post in this food blog, here is a simple, yet nutritious breakfast. A lot of my university friends have tried this out, so we know it works and is super yummy! I came across a recipe on Pinterest, I am literally obsessed with Pinterest, especially the food boards. The recipe I used is from Healthy Recipes,(click for the link) the author of the blog, Vered DeLeeuw, and she does a fantastic job at detailing clearly how to cook, so for more professional food, go check out her blog! :)

I had to change a few things when I made this, purely because being at university, I don't have a lot of the utensils and crockery that I have at home, so I have to improvise or nick (I mean borrow xD) my flatmates stuff. Scroll down for the recipe & enjoy! :D

Ingredients
Bread - As many slices as you wish ^^
Egg - Dependant on how many slices of bread you use :P
Butter - Vered uses cooking spray, but I didn't have any, so I used butter instead :)
Cherry Tomatoes - Just for a little more flavour :D
Pepper
Salt
Ramekin(s) - Dependant on how many slices of bread you use ^^

Cooking time! :)

1) Depending on whether you use cooking spray or butter, coat the ramekin with it to  ensure that the bread doesn't stick to it.
2) Carefully place the bread into the ramekins, so they sit like a little flower - My bread was a little too thin so it did end up splitting! :P
3) If you choose to add cherry tomatoes, then cut it into half, and half again, placing it into the ramekin with the bread. Depending on how big your ramekin is, you can always put more in, but I didn't have a lot of space.
4) Slowly crack the egg into the ramekin - Carefully do this, because it may spill out over the sides and you'll end up with egg yolk everywhere! xD My ramekins were quite small, so it did end up spilling out, so be careful! :)
5) Then lightly season with salt and pepper onto the egg before placing it into the oven for around 15 - 20 minutes. But this is all dependant on how well done you want the egg to be. I personally don't like runny eggs, so I baked it for 20+ minutes
6) Bon appétit! ^^ Be careful when taking the ramekins out the oven, they get really hot!!
